Abstract

This study aims to reveal the meaning of mother¡¯s lived-experiences by understanding the lived-experiences of mother-child relation in child counseling. For that purpose, a phenomenological study was conducted. Five mothers who were interviewed in depth on their experienced in child counseling. The followings are the results of this study. Their relations with their children include "distorted", "one-on-one" to narrow the distance between mothers and children, "uncomfortable", "a sense of unity" and "intimacy". Based on the results, the researcher interpreted two meanings discovered in the mother-child relation. Mothers discover their "innate minds" forgotten for long. Going through those lived- experiences of mothers and their children are "becoming together".
